On 18 and 19 February the sixth edition of the international fashion event “Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week” took place in the capital of fashion – Milan, Italy, uniting the talent and traditions of the rich diversity of countries that took part. Among them were representatives of Kazakhstan, Argentina, Mexico, France, Monte Negro, Bulgaria, Colombia, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia and Switzerland, who presented the fashion trends for Autumn/Winter 2025.
At the event, Bulgaria was represented with dignity in the face of two fashion brands – LENÉCRA and BLINK by Radi Lazarova, who showed world-class skills as well as uncompromising looks in the presented collections. The Bulgarian designers got the unique opportunity to appear on the international catwalk during the only international fashion event of its kind in Bulgaria – “Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week looking for Bulgarian talents”, held on 02.12.2023 at the Archaeological Museum, Sofia. International Fashion Connection. The talented designers Gergana Dimova and Maria Popova from the fashion brand LENÉCRA were awarded the grand prize for their participation in Milan, which was presented to them by the special guest of the event Mrs. Mariana Micheli – President of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week. The surprise of the evening was the second grand prize for participation on the world catwalk of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week, which was awarded to the brand BLINK by Radi Lazarova personally by the President of International Fashion Conncention, Mrs. Mila Zaharieva, which was an expression of her support in the development and promotion of Bulgarian fashion brands, both in our country and abroad.
Among the models, modeling on the catwalk in Milan, were representatives of our country, who showed grace and skills acquired during training conducted by the International Fashion Connection Casting Academy, thanks to which they received their personal certificates and personally prepared portfolios, which won their participation and went with the IFC team to the show in Milan. Among them were Miss Bulgaria World 2017 – Veronika Stefanova, Miss Veliko Tarnovo 2023 – Eva Zaharieva, graduates of the Knyaginya Maria Luisa Vocational School of Clothing, as well as other beautiful young ladies who impressed the international experts with their charm and grace. The appearance on an international catwalk of young creatives is a goal of the IFC organization, so that young people can be exposed to the real atmosphere and “cuisine” of international events, be exposed to the experts in the fashion industry, gain confidence and sympathy for their abilities and, above all, gain their professional experience.
Bulgaria also declared its presence and international experience in the field of professional makeup and hair in the face of DVisio Makeup Academy, headed by Diana Konova and NS Hair Academy, headed by Nikoleta Serafimova. Also taking part were the professionals in haute couture hair from Bulgaria – V&A Glamour Beauty Salon, headed by Veronika Stefanova.
The teams from Bulgaria were part of the artists who took care of the perfect look of all the models in the backstage of the event.
DVisio Makeup Academy and NS Hair Academy passed on professional experience and practical skills to their trainees who participated in the field work of an international fashion event. At the end of the event, on the stage of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week, the trainees received their international certificates.
The trip of the teams with the participants from Bulgaria was organized by the travel agency “Adventur World”.
