On 11.07.23. Ms. Mila Zaharieva, the President of International Fashion Connection announced the launch of a series of “SECRET FASHION SHOW of IFC” – a social project of International Fashion Connection / www.interfashionconnect.com /.
The goal and mission of the organizers is to support young designers developing their creative ideas in Bulgaria, because they need exactly that, to be noticed, to be supported and to be represented both in Bulgaria and on the international stage.
Every month there will be fashion shows – fashion evenings “SECRET FASHION SHOW of IFC”, where in the evenings students-designers and Bulgarian brands will present their collections in a surprising way and each time on a different lacation which will be in secret until later… Students and students with interest will get free access to the events, and the Beznes will support them.
Mrs. Assoc. Kristina Savova, Head of the Design Department at New Bulgarian University welcomes the start of the series of upcoming events and thanks the organizers and the students for their efforts and creativity to make their dreams come true.
The special guest of the event was Nikolay Bozhilov – the Bulgarian designer of world renown, winner of a number of awards and numerous achievements in the field of fashion. He teaches students at the Art Academy, from which the evening featured designers.
This special evening showcased the collections of the students supported by International Fashion Connection and who have won a place to go to Fashion Week on 19.07.23. Fashion Week. The event took place on 19.19.2018 in Sibiu, Romania, to participate in Feerik Fashion Week, the biggest fashion week in the Balkans.
The prize was won by Anna Hadzhjieva, 4th year student in the specialty “Clothing Design” at AMTII “Prof. Assen Diamandiev in Plovdiv, who presented the collection “Somewhere high in the mountains”.
The event featured the “ORIGIN” collage by the designer Teodora Chifutis, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion from the Academy of Arts and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Photography at the Academy of Arts.
Vistor Spasov was presented with his impressive author’s collection with a modern twist named “Individualistic” of his fashion brand “Atelier VERÈDIA” (Atelier Veredia) founded by Victor in 2022.
The culmination of the evening was the presentation of “Fashion x NBU” – university fashion label of New Bulgarian University with the collection “Ex Voto” .
A real furore was created by the presentation of the “Recycle/Upcycle” collection created by second year students of the BA Fashion program at New Bulgarian University as part of one of their semester assignments. The students who worked on it are Nora Gotseva, Viktor Spasov, Maria Boneva and Nelina Stoycheva.
The partners of the event were Sofia Municipality, New Bulgarian University, Business Lady Club, Singer-Bulgaria, Leader.BG, Highlife, Miss Bulgaria, BTC textil group, DVISIO, Red Bull, VideoTours, AdventourWorld, Vip catering, with gratitude to the arranger of SVATBENOCAFE, sound and lighting effects – STAGE PRO, Yordany – digital marketing agency and the only fashion TV in Bulgaria – CODE FASHION, which will reflect the events of International Fashion Connection in support of Bulgarian designers in the next events.
Among the models who supported the social project were Alexandra Krasteva – Miss Bulgaria 2022 and Eva Zaharieva – Miss Veliko Tarnovo 2023.
