Cultural Event “Young Talents – Cultural Bridge between Bulgaria and Serbia”
On 04.07.2024, in honour of the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia – Mr. Jelko Jovic, a cultural event was held at the Serbian Embassy in Bulgaria:
“Young talents – a cultural bridge between Bulgaria and Serbia”.
The guests of the event and the artists who took part in the program gathered to send their gratitude and to express their shared support to Mr. Jelko Jovic during the past five years of his tenure as Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Bulgaria.
The event was opened by the host, Ms. Ipek Bulenova, who thanked for the hospitality of the hosts at the home of Serbia in Sofia.
Mr. Jovic was invited to welcome the guests and expressed his gratitude for the interaction and friendship between Bulgaria and Serbia over the past five years.
The evening continued with a prayer service, celebrated by His Eminence Icon Seraphim Yanev, followed by a rich cultural program.
The first guest-performers, who started the cultural evening, were the children and their parents from TA “Kremikovtzi”. Representatives of the Youth Guard Association and the Touch the Rainbow Association in the person of folk singer Petya Kachakova and bagpiper Hristo Dimov, who transported the audience into the atmosphere of the beautiful Rhodopes, expressed their creativity and gratitude, Emilia Valenti and her special musical greeting in Serbian, as well as Valentina Alexandrova, who delighted the audience with a thematic performance of a song created by the project of the Touch the Rainbow Association. The guests of the event enjoyed two dance performances by talented graduates of the Ballet Studio “Julia”, led by Julia Romeova, part of the Association for Support of Children, with Mrs. Bogdana Jeliavska as the chairperson.
The cultural program ended with an impressive fashion show of young designers and models from the Professional Clothing School “Princess Maria Luisa”, who presented their collection, created on assignment especially for their participation in the event “The Balkans – Open Door”, organized by International Fashion Connection, with President Mrs. Mila Zaharieva, which was held on 21.06.2024.
A special guest of the fashion show was His Excellency – the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Jelko Jovic, who presented awards to two prominent and well-established Serbian brands with their long professional experience: the Suzana Peric Luxury Brand with designer Suzana Peric and the INDIVIDUAL brand with designer Bata Spasojevic, who presented their latest collections on the catwalk of the event.
Among the guests of the evening were ambassadors of other countries, businesswomen and supporters of the cultural exchange between Bulgaria and Serbia. Ambassador Jovic received special gifts from the participants as an expression of gratitude and respect for his activities during the past years of his mandate.
The event ended with an address by Mrs. Mila Zaharieva, who thanked all participants and guests for their support and presence, stressing the importance of the cultural exchange between the two friendly countries.
